TBH, if my brother drives, I usually just wear a thick woolly hat which can be pulled down over my ears and eyes. This shuts out the light and a lot of the noise, plus makes it comfy to rest your head against things. I find it quite comfortable to recline the seat and just rest my head against the side of the car. But if you really want, I'm sure I could find a pillow.

You're wooly hat it is then, this will leave more room for essential supplies of the alcohol type -)

My 6 Austrian trips were:

1994 Mayrhofen.

2002 Ischgl.

2007 Schruns.

2008 Mayrhofen.

2009 Gerlos.

2011 Zell Am See.

Thoroughly enjoyed all of them including the food, can't help with
Bad Hof ect as not been there, but would expect it to be good due to Austrian standards.

Well you HAVE NOW I just hope your car has a bunk bed in it :( :(

No need for a bunk bed, I intend to drive not sleep :)

Should be plenty of room for you to get a good kip before we arrive. Mainly motorway driving anyway so fairly smooth.

Are you supplying the bedding or do I bring my own.

Return crossing for my car was £126.00. Not told Brooksy yet, but that's out on the 0405 crossing and back on the 19.20. I reckon from past trips we should only need 8 hours from Calias subject to weather extremes, and it is a Sunday so traffic should be a bit lighter, so hopefully will be getting there around 2 to 3 pm. Always nice to arrive in daylight.

Dave Mac wrote:Ally, you are a star. For a number of years, there has been an effort to organise a J2ski meet up. They have failed because nobody put a proper process in place. You instigated a good stage process, took the stage decisions, and received a positive result from J2skiers.

Even then, there were a few initial detractors, (always the same people who are negative) But your enthusiasm has caught the imagination of J2skiers, so WELL DONE!

Your attention to detail is tops, and you respond to all queries.

I have tried really hard to join up with you, but I could have only managed one day, and I could not find a reasonable way to get from Tignes to Tirol, at the end of a ski day.

So I wish your trip well, really well. I think you have some great characters along with you. Just tell them to behave, and I'm sure they will fall into line.......

Ski well.

Great post Dave & can assure you that all of us really appreciate all the work & effort Ally has put in to get this up & running, no easy task with all the variables that exist & unhelpful posts have not deterred her in any way fortunately. Most of us have been chatting on FB to get to know each other a bit better & it works really well, Ally set this up for the group. We have a good mix of ages, abilities, drinkers, non drinkers ect so you will find some will want tea & cake & others on the lash it seems all tastes are catered for. Lastly & most importantly a great ski area to play in with new friends & I will be on my best behavior whatever that is.
