Hi Dreamfish,
Why don't you phone P&V and ask them? The number to phone from the U.K. is 0870 0267145. The office is still in Paris but somehow they have a UK number, and they speak pretty good English (assuming you can't speak French of course). You will need your reservation number. I have recently returned from a P&V holiday in Courchevel, and they had an undercover carpark, and a bell to ring if you arrived outside reception hours. But I rather think you had to book your parking ahead of time. When you get back, can you write a review on the place please, as I was thinking of going to Les Arcs at some time, and staying in a P&V apartment. Thanks, Ally |

Hi Jonah,
I hope you have a great time, and please tell us all about it when you get back :D |

Hi Dixiefee,
Best of luck with getting your money back - and keep an eye on Ebay! We've always hired skis, and it seems they don't bother to nick hired ones (at least we've never had ours nicked) and this time our skis actually had 'rental' or something like that written across the length of them. I'm glad to hear you had a good holiday apart from this. I was in Courchevel a few weeks ago and I reckon it's a great place to ski. Ally |

Hi Ian,
I'm glad to hear you're having a good holiday, even if your poor old legs are aching a bit. You're lucky it's sunny. I love ski-ing in the sunshine. I hope you find some off-piste to play in today :D How're Mrs W and Little W enjoying themselves? Ally |

Thanks Getjim,
It sounds as though Grindelwald is ahead of the game on this. Wherever Ian is (Livigno I rather think) still has instructors without helmets, and so do the ESF where I was (Courchevel). Ally |

I think you'd better come home now Ian, with your family, it's clearly not safe out there  Actually, I'm feeling a little sorry for the original poster. I think he/she was genuinely trying to be helpful - and at least he/she doesn't wibble on about what they eat for breakfast etc. like I do. Although I must say I wouldn't fancy having to ski wearing a gum shield - that would be going a bit too far for me  Ally |

I wonder why the instructors don't wear helmets? Do you think they have any individual say in the matter, or is it all down to management?

Hi Johntin,
Well, the fact that you cleaned the apartment back up to, or above, its original standard makes a big difference. Plus, it is blatantly unfair if you were never given exact instructions by the tour operator or the apartment managers. And, I'm really surprised they didn't give you an inventory. We've been in several apartments and we've always had one. I would say you've got a pretty good case against the tour operators, if not the apartment owners, and I hope your friends pursue it, for the sake of all future holidaymakers booking similar holidays. Please let us know what happens. I am not surprised you are annoyed. I would be absolutely hopping mad if it was me  Ally |
