Hi all,

Hoping I can pick your brains for some help on how to get to Val Thorens, accomodation is sorted. Ideally need to arrive 3rd April or very early on Sunday. Travel back would be on the 10th. Preferably as late as possible (in order to ski saturday morning!)

My options so far are, East Midlands to Geneva (£185 incl 1 bag!!!) Plus a transfer with BensBus at around £70.

I'm based in the East Midlands, so EMA is 15mins away, but travel to a different airport would be viable if the savings were significant.

Any help most appreciated, but I'm in a hurry as I now have accom but no transport.

Mark
I'm off to Argentierre on Saturday... looking at the predicted snowfall before I get there looks like the conditions should be amazing. Just hoping there's not too much to set the avalance risk to 4/5.
Read "Inner Skiing". It will explain everything...
I'm also thinking about getting some new gloves. I have a pair of Reusch leather gloves which are great when its cold, but I could do with a thinner pair for warmer weather. I have previously just used mountain biking gloves, as I dont tend to suffer from cold hands. But I'd prefer something waterproof really - if that's possible. I've been looking at this website http://www.backcountry.com/store/group/272/Ski-Gloves.html#app=price%7E+group%7E272+brand%7E+sortby%7E+cat%7E11+subcat%7E100000008+offset%7E-1+on_sale%7E+page_name%7ESki-Gloves for inspiration. But the thinner gloves seem be quite short, which I dont really want. Thanks in advance. And sorry if i've hijacked the thread a bit!

Cool cheers, I did say I had a bit too much last night - although I hadn't started when I registered if I'm being honest!

Does seem like a friendly place, from the posts I've read. Managed to get back online now. Took me a while cos I kept getting my username wrong. But that's due to a typo when registering! Oops. (Is it possible to change it? I guess not!)

Oh well - here's the AA group type bit. My name's Mark - I'm not from Mexico (its just to with a car I used to own). Went on my first skiing holiday last winter and am a bit hooked already really.
