Ian your right, it's the " herded like cattle experience " that I try to avoid on all holidays. I've just come back from a week in Marrakech that I organised from the ground up via net and phone and it was fantastic, we did everything we wanted to do, when we wanted to do it. I appreciate that as it's my first time skiing and I'll face the wrath of three others if I b*lls this holiday up, it might be worth letting the big operators take the strain on this one!! Although I'll probably do a bit of research anyway just to see if any big savings can be made or any extra luxury had for package prices. I can feel a surf coming on :lol: Cheers Stu |

Myself, my partner and another couple, all in our 30's are hoping to go skiing mid to late Jan 09. We are all total novices! A few colleagues at work have recommended Morzine and from my initial searching on the net it seems like a nice resort. I'm now trying to work out whether it's best to go for a package deal with someone like Crystal or organise it myself. I'm tempted with the latter, as flights to Geneva are cheap from Bristol on Squeezy jet. That leaves me with accommodation, transfers, ski school and kit hire to sort out. Any input on the above would be gratefully received, also is there anything I've forgotten... or should I just book with Crystal and reduce the hassle factor! Hope you can help.
