I got in a muddle trying to cut your post down to the bit I wanted to comment on and so gave up and decided to put something sensible instead. These computer thingys still confuse me....i'm easily confused. I was going to be a bit flip about you saying you were being serious!! but maybe that wasn't very kind so it serves me right that I failed! Now I am wibbling! |

It worries me that people will get bored if we ski the same place every year? Personally I want to try lots of different places. What does everyone else think?
Perhaps trying to stick to the same week every year might be more productive? That way everyone will know what this groups J2Ski week is and can book their other trips around it if they want to go. This is of course assuming that we manage to find a week that suits most people in the first place!! Wishful thinking? |

We went to Andorra for my first ski holiday. The terrain was fine for my limited ability but a bit boring for those in our group who were more experienced skiers.
There wasn't much night life but we did enjoy a trip into Andorra central which has loads of shops and restaurants etc. and the biggest indoor spa in Europe, well worth a visit. The killer for us was the very, very long transfer from the airport. |

Hello peeps,
It's nice to know you've missed me Icy! Sorry I have been quiet but I assure you I have been keeping an eye on you all. As I didn't have anything new or contructive to say, I thought it best not to say anything, as it would only have been wibble. Ally has done a stirling job with 2013 and I am very grateful to her for offering to take on 2014 aswell. I only started this discussion (it was Ally's suggestion) because we thought we could get the place and date sorted a bit earlier, so that more people can have input and come with us. We hope that this may become a regular feature and will involve more people each year. I am more than happy to do whatever is needed to help and Ally knows this. |

I sometimes undo my boots at lunchtime but only for the ease of going down the steps to the loo, like many others.
Now my boots are comfy (cos they have moulded to my feet and I don't do my straps up too tight) I find I can leave them done up all day. I have had conversations with skiiers who are complaining that their feet have gone numb/cold and I have tried to be helpful by suggesting it's probably because their boots are done up too tight. They often don't believe you when you say you can ski with them a bit looser or even undone! I was taught the "ski with buckles undone" technique on a course at an indoor slope and it was quite an eye opener. I assumed I would fall over and my boots would fall off but instead it helped me to learn to centre myself better over the skis. Don't forget to do the top strap up though, or you will fall out! |
