 I think I might have to start banning people from the forum for behaviour like that...

I'm not so sure about that Pavel... I think Dave may be in danger of turning into a Pogo Stick! I mean, what about the other leg??? You'll be going round in circles...

But seriously, yes, it's the time of year for tuning and checking all equipment; especially for those of us chained to a desk most of the year!

When are you looking to travel Matt?

You can start right here  ...we've got a few places listed that might suit your group.

See Chalets in Ischgl and accommodation in Soelden for a starting point.

You might be sent to the naughty step... 8)

However, we like the very nice people at STS, so that's cool with us; but do remember (everybody) to drop by and like our embryonic page on Facebook too...

We'll be announcing some rather tempting competitions of our own shortly... and they most certainly will be ski related!

Where to ski in europe?

When are you planning to travel?

If you can get a deal on a catered chalet (always possible out of peak weeks) then somewhere like St.Anton can be done on a manageable budget.

If you don't need wild nightlife then maybe think about Bourg St Maurice as a base :- accommodation is cheaper as it's not in the resorts but you can access Les Arcs directly by funicular railway and a whole bunch of other resorts (Tignes, Val d'Isere, Ste.Foy, et al) with a 20-30 minute bus / taxi / car ride.

Take a look at this recent thread for some discussion of the 'classic' resorts and their pros and cons :-

Another year, another pair of skis? Go on, you know you want to...
We won't have our own stand at the show this year, but we will be announcing a comp for some freebie tickets shortly... just as soon as I've thought of something suitably challenging for the average J2Skier (as if there is such a thing).

No firm decision on the secret weapons yet but if I can find an excuse... I will!

Anyone up for meeting? I'll definitely be at the show Wednesday and Thursday, and probably Friday too.

Spammers definitely should be battered... don't fancy eating one myself though...
