Brilliant info Adam. I certainly will. Is it ok right through to late March ? Reason I ask, is I have a short break to Uttendorf in Austria booked for early December then the regular family-fest in Austria early Jan; but Chatel for a later trip would be great if the season lasts that long.

Hi Adam

This is good news for me as a French colleague of mine from work has just acquired a little chalet there, but not knowing the area I was reluctant to try it. Your positive comments have convinced me ! Thanks.

Some skiers "excel" at them :)

English Breakfast

Surely at lest two of those beverages are (or should be) alcoholic ? :-)

I usually try to forget how much I've spent if we have to eat out in resort, or up the mountain, because it's generally far more than I want to remember!

Ah, this exchange shows the difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is doing a spreadsheet to show what your costs are; wisdom is, yes, trying to forget it !

Indeed they do not; you just have to be able to lift it into the overhead rack unaided. EJ have in the past allowed me to carry skiboots as hand luggage, but Thomson have refused, and made me put them in the hold, but did not charge extra for this.

Woolworths ! That takes us back! You'll be telling us you bought your boots with Green Shield stamps next, Ally :)
