I chickened out of Kicking Horse...heard it was all Double Black Diamonds!!

I'm mad enough to give some steep stuff a go if I'm feeling brave but the thought of bumps or trees or being left ungroomed... no sireee!

Revelstoke?? Not heard of that one, will google it now... :D

Wow, not to bad as a treat but you couldn't do that every night!

Did you go into the Grizzly Steak House? I nearly got myself into trouble with the telephones at the tables!!!

Have you done any other resorts in Canada? I really fancy Fernie or over the border to Breckenridge (only if I feed up my piggy bank lots over the coming months). Unfortunately group consensus is that we have a cheaper do next year in Europe

Woodski, I came back on Thursday having had 2 weeks there and loved it also - been raving about it since we got back and would love to go again!

Pablo, Didn't make it to the Buffalo Lodge? Do you know someone in there? We did get to some great restaurants, my fave being Saltlik on Bear Street!

We stayed at Irwins Mountain Inn, it did exactly what it said on the tin - it was nothing special but had no faults either, it was clean and spacious and the staff we're very friendly and helpful and I would recommend!

Probabaly need women specific being vertically challenged - 5ft 3 and 53kg, so prbabaly after 150 ish. Getting happy on most black and trying to crack moguls, also moving further from the piste and hope to develop this direction. Loved Rossi B78 w (until hit real hard packed / iciness), perversly loved Rossi S3 twin (although bloomin hard work on piste after a few days of leg burn with 90 waist), hated K2 Burnin Luvs (07/08). Never really tried some real sturdy skis, but friend recommends K2 One Luvs but they are reported to be a bit hefty and not sure they will handle soft fluffy stuff with a 74 waist. On the heavy-ski point is it a question of getting used to it, or are people just heavy-ski, light-ski preferers or is it a matter of typeof skiing? Help!!!!!!!!

Re: K2 One Luv's

Both myself and one my friends both have K2 One Luv's and love them to bits :D

Just come back from a fortnight in Banff and there's loads of girlies riding T-Nine's. Mine have held up very well to everything we've thrown at them... powder, groomers and the odd day where everything was icy all over. They are more suited to piste but coped fine with the couple of days we were skiing in powder, they also held like glue for us on the blacks but can't help with the moguls as I'm useless and my legs turn jelly at the sight of them!!!

I'm not very good with the technical stuff but just know that they do the job for us and we're both intermediate sporty/quick skiers, we're both about 5ft 7 and have 160's - we also got chatting to a Canadian lady who had Lotta Luv's (one step below the Burnin Luv's I think) and she said they were excellent, so may think of testing them next time.

Definitely worth a try if you get the chance. :D

Chill Factore doesn't usually have moguls but they add them specially next to the right hand side lift at the same time as all the freestyle jumps, rails etc from what I can remember.

It would definitely be worth confirming when they have them as I've been there in the past when they've had a slalom course where the moguls were.

They put them up top on the right hand side away from the beginners using the slower left hand side lift.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Mark,

I recently sold two snowboards and both packages were approx 190cm with all the padding and boxes.

I got a good deal with these guys... http://www.interparcel.com/quote/

You put in where its going and the dimensions of all the packaging and it searches the cheapest couriers for you, it includes the likes of DHL, TNT, UPS etc.

A quick word of warning if you're selling on Ebay put a note on stating that the postage will be more to the Highlands and non mainland postcodes. It cost me under £15 to send inland UK but nearly £40 to send to Inverness. Wouldn't want you get caught out after they've sold.

Hope this helps you

Clare :-)

After trying to learn snowboarding, I decided I was only destined to ski so I am selling the shiny new boots I bought and at the same time decided to sell my OH's old board and boots as he's progressed onto more advanced kit.
