Well, he wouldn't have to actually pick one. If Iceman is anything like the other men I know he could get a lot of fun JUST looking, don't you know  Ally |

Iceman - why don't you book one of those singles ski holidays and you could have a great time ski-ing AND keep a look-out for the next Mrs Iceman at the same time :D
And if you're feeling really sad I could always pm you some of the Romance thread jokes - I've managed to remember about 100 of them - and maybe some of those would make you laugh and cheer you up. Or, maybe Snapzzz could share some of his toblerone with you? Ally |

The council cut through the BT cable that goes to our house when they were cleaning out the roadside ditch, and I had no telephone or internet. But a neighbour phoned BT for me and BT re-directed our calls to my mobile and they were there in about 2 hours assessing the problem.
First thing next day BT came out and they ran a temporary cable about half a mile overground just to service us and one other house. And the following day the cable guys came out and fixed the broken underground cable. Mind you, we are business customers with BT but I still reckon that was excellent service :D Oh, and we pay something like £18 per month with AOL for unlimited broadband which does our 3 houses, and includes free mainline phone calls. We only have to pay for mobile calls etc. And we are on Free Sat and Freeview for the televisions so we don't have to pay anything for those either. Best of luck with getting your line fixed Noddyh, and well done Snapzzz for helping him  Ally |

Admin - I don't think you've been reading this thread carefully enough  Nearly all our worries/dislikes/hates are centred on things that stop us from ski-ing. I mean, for example, if that apartment manager had decapitated Iceman with his mop then poor Iceman wouldn't have been able to ski any more would he? And if I don't earn enough/can't see through my foggy glasses/spend all my time rolling around in deep powder looking for my skis/end up on a blood waggon etc. etc. then I can't ski either, can I? Here - you're not going to delete this entire thread now, are you, like that other one  You've just given me another worry now  But thanks for putting the smilies back into my posts - presumably that was you  And, Nelly, you're quite right, I do worry about the weather stopping me get to the ski resort. I'd forgotten about that one. That can be number 22  Ally |

Sorry Snapzzz,
I live in the country as well and we don't have cable. |

My husband and I are both really mean. If we bought flowers and cards for each other he'd be annoyed because he'd be thinking it was money wasted that could have gone on his new tractor fund and I'd be thinking the money could have gone towards my next ski holiday  I do know what he does like on Valentine's though, and fortunately it doesn't cost anything ... Ally |

Well of course there are LOADS of things I LOVE about ski-ing, but this thread is about our dislikes, is it not, and I don't want to wibble off piste and get snipped by Admin  But I have thought of a few more worries ... : 19. I worry that they will shut the lifts and I won't be able to ski back to the resort if I'm somewhere like La Rosiere and I ski over the top of the mountain to the connected La Thuile as it's extremely difficult to get back by road. It's not so bad in the Three Valleys as it just means paying for a bus or taxi and a long drive. 20. I hate seeing the 'blood waggons' going past when I'm ski-ing, as I always wonder what's happened to the poor victim and imagine it's me  21. I hate it when the smilies don't work on this website  Ally |
