We are on a morning flight to Grenoble - and a friend has just phoned to say he is so keen to join us that he is driving all the way up to Manchester as the only flight left is from there!!
I am sure you will like the skiing in Serre Che - one must-do run is Cucumelle.

Thanks Jastem, the Cucumelle run is part of my huge list of must do's. I also want to do the Tabuc run and ski down into Briancon in fact I want to cover as much as possible in the week, weather permitting of course. If you see an old boy  in a light blue schoffel jacket, black sallos, black giro G10 helmet with Fischer boots and skis give me a shout and the drink/s is on me :D

Snapzzz,
Not been skiing during the Christmas Holiday however, have been 3 times during the white week in Austria at the begining of December. Always been bags of snow and the price is much cheaper. Just a thought  A good kick start to your Christmas break.
By the way Jastem, snow showers in Serre Che Today and tonight

Realy excellent photography/filming and great environement footage. I must say I prefer skiing, why play on one when you can have two  Nice video 10 out of 10 well done. :D
Thanks to you Ian, You suggested waxing my own skis. They will not be going near another machine or shop thats for sure. I noticed in Pas, under difficult and icy conditions they performed so well. I even take a little edge trick tool, with diamond and oxide stones, cork and wax when we go away to keep them tuned. I have now sorted out a bench with a good ski vice and started to tune my friends skis also. They feel so much better, I think its down to the hand finish with brass, nylon and horsehair brushes.

Jastem, let them talk. Perhaps we could meet up for a drink or two!
5 sleeps Four pairs of skis tuned and waxed for the clan. All family members going on this trip for a change which will be quality time. So glad I started to service our own skis as their performance is phenominal over a shop wax! Their now slippery little suckers for sure  Conditions looking good in Serre Che and can't wait :D
