Thanks for the kind words guys but sadly he will not mend. It is simply a matter of time, could be days, could be weeks, could be a few months, we simply do not know for sure. For me i hope his time comes peacefully and comfortably.

Never mind, Ski Sunday will be back soon.

xxx sleeps to ski time now. Which means i have no idea.

My father in law has major health concerns and it look like our Jan trip is going to be cancelled. Just dealing with the insurers now to see where we stand.

Totally gutted. But family comes first.

I get a very similar problem and have spent £'s and had refunds trying to solve it but nothing helps me.
Best advice is to see a boot fitter with a decent reputation who will probably fix this for you given that you didn't have the issue with rental boots.
My guess its an inappropriate footbed. Rental boots tend to be just flat inside. Have you tried simply taking the footbeds out?

This year i am going to try mine without and even buy some cheapy foam from the local cobblers to see if that helps.

On the whole i tend to just ski through the grief and it goes away in time.

Im hoping there are resorts opening early near to Geneva this year.
I tempted by a couple of days before xmas.
