How many lessons have you had on your local dry slope? You probably won't need a huge resort with hundreds of KM's of slopes. Smaller resorts are generally cheaper.

Bandit there must be so much you don't know about Wickers

I feel certain there is, but we won't go into that, as this is a public forum and there are standards to be adhered to -)

Bandit, if that was the case then the bindings wouldn't have passed the TÜV SÜD tests. Without TÜV certification alpine ski bindings can't be sold.

No problems with the certification, but some problems at shop level with getting them set up correctly for users. He's walked out of his a few times. This may have led to the popular myth. My mate had his reset to his Garmonts 3 times (that I know of). They also have a mimimum weight rec. of 130lbs.

Can't remember the answers being published for the last Quiz run by Pavelski. Though it's quite a long time ago now.

Welcome to J2ski Ben but to be honest I have no idea ....... try France

Now't wrong with Scottish skiing Wickers. Don't knock it until you've tried it :D
Avoid France, it's too full of Brits :P

I have skied Scotland, as to France you need to select your resort to avoid the sheep steer clear of val'd. Chamonix, three valleys too many to mention 8)

Wickers, I had no idea you'd tasted the delights of Scottish skiing :D Mutton Pie and Beans at the Ptarmigan Cafe?

Can't agree with you on avoiding Chamonix. The place is so big it's easy to avoid the crowds once you are up a hill. Just ski differently :D
