Twenty pounds for hot boxing would be a good investment before that trip (especially if it's only five miles away).

Before the first trip? Do you think so?

Packing your Ski bag

Tony_H wrote:As long as you've only got 1 bag and it weighs no more than the limit allowed, I see no problem why you can't pack what you want in it as it is hold baggage. I was thinking of one of those split rollers this year, but I think I'll go for a ski bag that has compartments to put more stuff in and get away without paying ski carriage.

Right now (having made my ski purchase!!! YAY!!) i am looking at bags. I just do not know if i should by a single one for about £30
or this http://www.snowandrock.com/snow+rock-cargo-ski-bag/ski-bags/ski-snowboard-outdoor-sports/fcp-product/15719

I really do not want to put all my eggs in one basket in case the basket goes missing but if i get the bigger bag will the skis rattle about too much? I thought i could probably get my boots in it too but would they slide about potentially damaging the skis?

How do you pack?

Do you pack your skis base to base (like you carry them) and wrap the bindings? Or lay them both flat side by side? or binding to binding?
