Sure prices have crept up, some places in Bansko itself are taking the
p!55, but there are cheap places if you know where to look, typically you will pay 2 and half to 3 quid for a beer in Bansko, try staying a little further out with a private operator and you will pay about 60p.

The lifts are new, the slopes are well looked after and only busy at peak times. There are queues for the gondola in the morning sometimes, but there are never queues for the rest of the lifts.

Its a bit like Austria but obviously not as many kms.

Are we talking about the same Bansko that i visited Jan 2007? From your discription i think not.
Queues for well over an hour to get up the mountain and queues for the lifts once up there.

To say its like Austria without the kms is a bit of an exaggeration as Austria is spotless as in clean and beautiful.I think the 60p plonk has clouded your judgement a bit, But hey each to there own.

I`ve spoken to a friend today and she tells me that their flight to Portugal in March has been cancelled this is part of Easyjets cut backs.
They have however booked onto an alterntive flight.

Tony no i didnt know its a pilots fav, But if i`m going to catch my OH out i need to know why ? :lol:

It looks like a desperate attempt to claw some money in if you ask me,But i dont think the offer of a free lift pass with have people flocking to the travel agents. With the size of your parties you may be better going to an independant travel agent in the future,I know what you mean though about loyalty counting for nothing.

Yes Tony UK based But i`m sure he mentioned that Bmi were ok as well as Easyjet and the obvious BA. It would be good to know if anyone else comes up with any info though.

I dont know if any of you guys have heard the news this morning, But Simon Calder was on This Morning and mentioned that a couple more air lines well 3 to be exact were in Serious financal trouble.He was unable to mention the names on air but i think its a stark warning to anyone booking flight only holidays.

I know theres a fair few of you who make your own travel arrangements and i would hate to see your holidays going belly up. I dont know if anyone knows how to access more info.
