Ask for a Mutzig, it's the local PG Tips.

Thanks Bandit :D

I've never heard of a Mutzig. Ever since they tried giving me that ***** stuff in a glass in La Rosiere I've always asked for English Breakfast tea, with milk, and that seems to do the trick. But I will try saying Mutzig when I'm in a French cafe/restaurant in Tignes and see what they say.

But I don't suppose they will ever give me a whole teapot to myself, never mind what I say

At least I should be okay for proper tea in the Bonjour chalet :D

The others will get free wine with their evening meal so I'm presuming that means I will get free tea.

Edit
Now we're on a new page I'd just like to remind any newcomers to this thread that we are still looking for more J2Skiers to join us in Tignes in January :D
Just to remind everyone what this thread is supposed to be about:

Brooksy is looking for a MALE J2Skier to share an en-suite twin room with balcony, room number 6 in the chalet Bonjour-Bonjour in Tignes for a group ski holiday with other J2Skiers and their friends and families, starting on Sunday 13th January 2013.

And if anyone else is interested in going on this holiday with us, would you please either post a message up on here or send me a pm. The basic description of the holiday is on the first page of this thread, and at the moment we still have several spare rooms in the chalet.

Thanks,

Ally

Hi Dids,
Nice to see you back, and I'm glad you had a great time :D

Are you going to start another thread and write something about what it was like?

And then, whilst the others are downing vodkas and goodness only knows what, I can have a nice cup of tea, before I dance on the table

In fact, maybe I'd better start practising that now - it would be embarassing if I fell off the table
Here is the location map for the Underground Bar, behind the Chalet Chardons:

There are also 5 other bars and 7 restaurants in Les Brévières.
It seems there is no need for anyone to worry that Les Brevieres may be too quiet for them in the evening

My daughter very kindly allowed me to post 2 of her uni ski group photos taken at their night out in the Underground Bar (behind the chalet Chardons). One of them shows dancing on the table, and the other shows a selection of the flavoured vodkas. And they reckoned the alcohol and snacks in this Bar were the cheapest they found in Tignes all week, and they all had a great time in this Bar.

And here are the official details about it, taken from the chalet Chardons website:

The Underground bar is our public bar situated behind Chalet Chardons and is open from 3pm till 1.30am every day. In the bar there is free WiFi and internet computers are available to use for those who don't have a laptop or smart phone with them. Also in the bar is the ever popular 'Babyfoot' table football and sporting events are shown on the large screen televisions. Bar snacks are available and we often run special evenings with live music, BBQ's, Karaoke or even just a nice, quiet pub quiz.

The Underground Bar
Amstel, Magners, Mutzig, Hoegaarden on draught
Reasonably Priced drinks with reductions for guests
Sky Sports, big screen TV's
Free WiFi and internet computers
Friendly relaxed atmosphere
Bar snacks, BBQ's, Puka Pies
Live Music, Table Football, Karaoke
Flavoured Vodkas, Cocktails and Shooters

Hi Cat,
Don't worry about the poor quality of the snow on the Sache piste in that video - they were going down it in April and we will be ski-ing it in the middle of January, when there should be plenty of snow :D

So - your skis will be fine :D

I posted those two videos up, rather than one of someone ski-ing the Sache super fast, because I think they show the route and level of difficulty of the piste very clearly.

Like you, I think it's doable, but I will be going down it very slowly and carefully myself so you'll probably have to wait for me at the bottom
