The new approach is based on a "carving turn on the inside ski". If you are not a stranger to skiing, you will immediately notice that this contradicts a fundamental principle of long standing in the skiing world, i.e. turning by applying pressure to the outside ski. However, it does work and has been tried out by skiers of different standards, all of whom made exceptionally fast progress.
I showed it to two experts, one said that it has nothing new, another said that it is complete rubbish, so may be it is new after all... Google search on "pressure on the inside ski" gives mainly something like "Avoid putting too much pressure on the inside ski". However, it works so well - why is it not widely used and tought? |
