And just to remind everyone - we will be staying in the traditional, ancient village of Les Brevieres which dates back to the 13th century. We still have places left (details on the first page of this thread). If you're interested in coming on this holiday would you please contact me via pm, or post on this thread.

(Thank you very much Far Queue for the photo)

Thanks everybody - Ian, Felthorpe and Far Queue :D

It sounds like Felthorpe's definitely going by car, now she's bought her Eurotunnel ticket

I won't be able to buy my Eurostar ticket until July

But at least I have bought my EasyJet flight back, from Geneva :D
Thanks Felthorpe :D

Do the prices go up, like flights, or do they stay the same?

Thanks for the costings Bedrock Barney :D

The overall price looks very similar to what we paid for self-catering in Meribel over New Year, although on breakdown you paid more for flights and transfers than we did for the Eurostar and bus, but less on ski hire and lift passes.

And, you definitely made it from landing to front door much quicker than me! I usually have a 5 hour train journey to London, both ways.

I would say what you paid was okay for an Easter ski holiday. They always cost a lot more during school holidays

Thanks for the report Bedrock Barney :D

I particularly liked the photos, especially the before and after one of the cabin - a bit of snow cover at resort level makes such a difference!

How much did the holiday cost? My older daughter's first school ski trip was to Geilo, in Norway, and although she had a great time it was pretty expensive.

Woohoo, well spotted OA. I had somehow managed to put the 17th in instead of the 13th for the departure date on my countdown page

So, only 270 left for me now :D

OMG !!!!

and poor Ally is going to have to cope with this !!!!!!

That's nothing, Andy! I accidentally told Far Queue we'd be arriving on the 27th

At this rate it will be a miracle if any of us turn up on the correct date

Thanks Daved :D
I should think the prices for the ferry and the Eurotunnel will probably be pretty similar in January, but it is a bit annoying that they can't be booked yet.

And now that we're on a new page I'd just like to remind everyone that we still have places on this J2Ski group holiday to Tignes on 13th January next year. The details are on the first page of this thread.

Would anyone who is interested in coming on this holiday with us please let me know either by pm or posting on this thread. After 1st May the chalet owners will start letting the surplus rooms to other guests.

Thanks,

Ally
