Cheers guys. As always, I'm sure we'll "find our feet" once we get there. Want to make the most of it.

Not been there myself but the Skiamade area is vast as we normally do Schladming. Have a look at the attached link, hope it helps.

Thanks for that Scarlet Fez - I have read a fair bit about it being a vast area, I'm just not sure how accessible it all is from where we are staying. I got stuck in Vallandry last season when we were staying in Les Arcs 2000................and just want to avoid something like that happening again )

Ok, so going to Radstadt in 3 weeks. (I won a catered chalet week there) :D It looks like a gorgeous chalet, but Radstadt itself, looks to be fairly limited for skiing. Having never been in that area before, I have no clue really on the lie of the land or on how easy it will be getting to some of the bigger skiing areas. I know there is a shuttle bus which will take us to Filzmoos, but from there, will we be able to access good Intermediate slopes, or will we need to travel a bit further afield?..............and if so, is there and back going to be achievable on a daily basis. Don't want to get stuck on the wrong side of a mountain like last year, with no way back!! The people who own the chalet have been really helpful and I know they will be able to give us lots of advice when we get there ( I don't want to keep asking lots of questions by email) So thought I'd try to find out from some of you guys who will have been there, on the best places to go and how to get there.

You're right Ally, it has turned out to be some sort of epic journey for these guys, just hope they all get there ok. I'm sure it'll all be worth it for you and your significant other when you do eventually get there Sami. Be sure to let us know how it turns out for you all. :D
I'll bet it'll be busy busy busy in all the Scottish resorts today. Not skied Scotland for years, but intend on a weekday trip sometime soon!
Firstly welcome the forum.
I was serious when I said in your previous thread to go sledging - for the very reasons mentioned above. My own experience, on my second ski holiday, was, a set of hired skis, which did not have the bindings set properly for me and my ability. I was 3 months on crutches and no skiing for 2 seasons. My knee has never been the same due to the damage done on that one very simple fall. So be very careful out there. :D :D
