Are you a hottie?

Jesus, my mrs is so not a hottie.
I ski in a base layer and jacket. Sleep naked in the middle of winter with the window open.

She shivers in base, fleece, 2nd fleece, coat, scarf, hat. Sleeps in full pj's , hot water bottle and electric blanket...

She is going to be one of those old ladies you see on the high street wrapped up to the hilt in the summer heatwave.
Well, our plane took off only a third full. Many people were stuck in resort and unable to get down of their mountain.
Not sure how much fun their NYE will be.
A quick heads up for those traveling out to France his weekend.....be prepared.
It's been snowing heavily for the last two days and whilst as far as I can tell the authorities are doing well to keep roads clear but there are delays.

We are currently sat at the airport waiting for further passengers that are stuck on their transfer from resorts.

On the plus side we left behind knee/waist high powder. Visability is low and is set to stay that way for the next few days at least. Snow was falling to at least 1500m, rain lower down

Reading ur excitement fills me with envy.

Btw. Chambery is a crap hole.

Totally disagree!!
Lovely little place.
OK - no facilities worth mentioning and if you arrive at the same time as bus loads of others then check in can be a bit of a scrum.
But ...
Closer to resorts.
Geneva is designed purely to part one from cash and in ChFr so I have no idea what I am spending!
And Chambery has an outside cafe bit so I can have a cigar and mentally prepare myself for loading into a tin can that is bound to crash and kill me
And ...
When you arrive at Chambery the baggage is often there before you've got through passport and customs.
And ...
Flying in/out over the lake and mountains is an experience.
If you know where to look you can still see the scar on the mountain where the plane crashed trying to land in bad weather.

Crash....yeah thanks for that.

I was going to fly to Chambery but opted for Geneva instead. Sounds like a good choice! Have a safe flight - remember the season is not over yet....

How did you upload all your pics? With a laptop?

Hope your hol was good

Indeed it's not over, I have a week off work from 4th feb! Now what shall I do with that?

Yes, took my laptop with me. Hotel had free wifi.

Chambery is sh*te. Never had a flight on time from here. We are about 1hr delay now.
