But if you go skiing in Flaine now, you can find free accessories just lying around in the snow!

I trust your camera didn't disappear too Snapzy?

No i still have the cam.

I stuck the mounts on at home while they were warm and dry so the glue went off correctly.
i was planning on shooting a single run several times from different angles and editing it together....not going to happen now and the mounts are gone....boo

Before i left for Flaine i stuck two go pro mounts to my skis for different vantage points.
Both were rock solid....both have vanished.
I guess the extreme cold has affected the glue and let them go free.
Shame that as i was looking forward to trying them out.
My god it is cold.

As to emergency measures when you find yourself not wearing enough on a cold day, a couple of charcoal hand warmers in the the mesh inside pockets of your jacket can make a huge difference.

I never really feel the cold on my body whilst skiing, even today.
I did feel it on exposed skin on my face, my toes and fingers.
My coke froze solid in my bag.

On the plus side i was getting a little worries that my bindings would not release, they were new this year and despite numerous falls on my last trip they never released.
Today they both flew off in a white cloud of fail.....at least i know they function!
on your next trip you start looking at steeper moguled reds or blacks as a source of thrills and you carve up standard reds with a huge grin.
My god it is cold.

We are in apartments right next to the 'Grand Vans' lift called Les terraces du veret.
Pokey little things they are but excellently located.
My god it is cold.
