It does seem to be positive on the weather front. Snow up to the weekend then colder sunnier conditions. The resort is near to 100% open which is also a bonus.

Take it easy on the drive! Will text both of you this week to make sure we are 'synchronised'.......first beer is on me.

we need photos!!

Calling the Scandinavian collective. Your weather report:

Looking chilly towards the end of the week. Bit of temperature inversion which is showing maybe -15 in the village on Sunday. Could be -10 in Trondheim for those flying in to Norway. Winds calming down though so that bodes well for the higher lifts. Small dump of snow on Wed and Thu which should freshen things up.

End of weather report :D

It'll never happen. I didn't start skiing until until my 40's and I have a much keener sense of mortality than I had in my teens.

I hit nearly 80kph in Zermatt (on the glacier) and that was fast enough thank you.....

I'm not sure I'd be hitting 115kph to be honest! They can only ski what's in front of them.

Didn't seem to be much snow there other than on the piste....
Holiday car hire is a right old game (whether for winter or summer holidays). You certainly need to keep your wits about you.

We hired a car in Mallorca a couple of years ago. The form we were asked to sign was supposed to have identified any current damage but when I checked it before driving off there must have been at least another 10 dents and scratches, some of them pretty big. The rental guy was completely relaxed though and let me include the extra info before I signed my life away.
