Cat litter, cat litter cat litter. Best stuff, if your out and um, stuck.
Where I'm from you can't use chains and the ding dong road crews don't salt. It's a real.....joy

A tank top, aka wife beater works for tread in a snap. It also works in mud which is were I needed it guess beyond a certain point the sides of the Alps don't get plowed :-o

I always thought of it as a tool for beating pesky boarders. I use em' for positioning, put the right in and make the turn, left turn etc etc. I will take a look at those movies
 I just did. Are you supposed to ride your edges like that? The awesomeness amazes me

I was at work for the first few runs of the season (I'm lucky, I work at a resort). I'm trying to recorrect some issues from last season and I got right back into the bad habits. I tend to start a turn and try to carve it but my left ski drags when I don't think about it. When I do I wind up cutting uphill too sharp and over correct. I aslo found this a little annoying but I do have a new set of stuff this year. When I turn I find myself getting all the way back in my boots and having my tails do the work. I would like to start putting more force on the fronts of my boots to see what that does

Any opinions please?

Oh I'm sorry to hear that! One bad experience and that's it? If she was injured on the slopes the resort/instructor has to take some kind of responsibility. Find a good lawyer that's my advice

Glad to hear that she's getting better!
 . I shall be printing this off and putting it in a place that I frequent. It's always good to start the season off with insightful advice
