Andy, i get all that entirely and I'm not a pushy parent, well i don't think i am anyway. She does enjoy her skiing and we all enjoy our holidays and time together but it can get really boring doing the same short green runs day in day out.

I think you are right mate, its just so frustration as she wants to ski the whole mountain with me but she just can't. I just thought that the shorter skis will let her turn so much easier and convince her that she can do it.
I think peer pressure is what she needs, you are dead right. |

Poor old little Snapzzz is having a hard time ditching the snow plough bless her and i am desperately wanting her to progress further.
She is 11 years old and has 3 weeks on the snow and she is getting to a point now where she needs to take a step forward in her skiing or she is going to be stuck forever.... She can ski blues and will even tackle the steeper ones but she frightens the life out of me because she simply does not have the technique to ski safely. On a steep she will traverse once or twice and then just let go and blast straight down half ploughing. On our last trip she had several private lessons that got nowhere and i spent quite a bit of time teaching her to side slip when the gradient is too much for her ability. I was also trying to get her to step her uphill ski around so she at least finished her turns parallel, she got that a couple of times but not often. In an ideal world i would put her in ski school for the full week but she simply will not do it. She is an only child and quite shy and doesn't like the idea of being 'dumped' with strangers, she is quite insecure and very sensitive. So my question is this.....Should i put her on some short skis? I am thinking that by doing this it would be much easier for her to turn and probably make it increasingly difficult to plough? Are short skis the answer? |

If you were under any illusion about the kind of company and director we are talking about then this should help clarify. The email he sent the guys with regard to their dismissal. --------------- To whom it may concern, Sorry to all of you it has relevance to or for. Joszef and Garie work too hard for all of you to abuse the privilege of manners, discipline and respect. Consider yourselves fortunate following your blatant abuse of company rules, that you are not fined and in a worse situation. I will be formally emailing you to release you from all activities, responsibilities and work with Skithe3v. Ahidel and myself do not need to justify why or what we do to anyone and least of all you. I will also outline why you have been released!! Non compliance to rubbish clearance company privacy uniform codes budgetary constraints abuse of chalet rules false expenditure guests paying for services not billed by us. staff dining and sleeping over without authority abuse of reberty village rules Hygiene abuse of company property company vehicles used for personal time/transport fragrant disrespect for our company, myself and wife. Understand clearly we do not employ juniors and inexperienced people to listen to their excuses, moaning, reasoning and personality clashes as we do business as a lifestyle!! I do not need advice from employees and indeed when hearing negativity, within my rights to exit you immediately from the resort and certainly our properties. I hope you have good lives and remain healthy but I do not suffer fools gladly and some of you take me for that. I am also happy to explain to each of individually why you have been let go by email not face to face as at present my patience for expense and staff BS is over the limit and it would not be fruitful for you. My business runs firstly with bookings and administration and not running a kindergarten. Joszef will clarify your position regarding board and lodging and a timely exit to carry on with your happy and fruitful lives. We only hope the best for all. For those of you with other jobs in place good luck and good fortune for those hunting but remember hard work second, smart work first, respect others and treat them as you wish to be treated please. Yours sincerely Mark Ridgers Director Skithe3v Ltd |

Barney, i agree i shouldn't generalize and there are 1000's of brilliant independent chalet owners that will offer a great service but my point was that there are obviously sharks in our domain. This year, on this site, we have seen the like of these guys and 'takemetoski' that have turned out to a nightmare for their customers. |
