I know the feeling, it is more expensive and it will more than likely be very busy too. As we left ADH it started to get very busy for new year. With this in mind we are likely to try and find a quieter resort for this time and go to a bigger one in early feb |

We did ADH this Xmas and i don't think i would do it again. If the kids like the xmas vibe then i would stay at home as there was nothing doing in france.
Maybe a chalet would be better, we stayed in a hotel, but xmas day was just like any other. This year we are going to stay home at xmas and ski at new year. |

That run is really gentle, it doesn't really show the way she handles the steeper bits. I am seriously considering going back there next year as the woodland runs are really nice. |

Megan is year 7 and its a swine now. I am assuming your daughter is year 6 to be allowed 10 days. When i asked to take Meg to Flaine they just said no. I was shocked as we have never had trouble before but this was a new school. She went on to add that if we took her out of school next year they are introducing a policy of fining parents. I said "best of luck with that as only the courts and police can issue fines". The lady then changed her words and decided it was a penalty charge rather than a fine......sounds like those parking scams doesn't it? I also asked her if i was a day in credit because of the days strike action they took not so long back, I'm not sure she was impressed by that. Anyway i told them that we were taking her anyway. And then to top it all only a few days later Megan came home from school with a letter asking if we would like her to participate in a 4 day excursion to Disneyland Paris!! The bloody cheek of it. Funny how they can take her but i can't. |

Personally, off all my pics, i love this one the best.
Its not as nice as the all the pretty landscapes but it has something that gives me a buzz when i see it. To some it shows a nutter for braving those conditions alone but to me it shows commitment, drive and a passion for powder at all costs. ![]() |
