My wine says "enjoy with meat or fish" but i can confirm it goes down just lovely with monster munch and revels.

Stick in her some Sallos and see how they fit. If they look smart then ski's it is. If the hang down her backside and look somewhat scruffy then stick her on a tray.

Little Snapzzz isn't doing too badly but to me it looks that she's too far back, hence the snowplough because this is the way she's trying to keep her skis from running away from her. With weight back it will be difficult to learn any technique because the main thing in technique is keeping skis under you. If you get behind your skis everything gets very hard, too fast and too scary. Maybe her instructor wasn't able to explain this to her in a way that she could understand and apply. Also, at this stage she shouldn't be skiing with poles. Unless she knows how to use them just having them along won't do any good to her posture and balance. There is a reason why kids who go to a ski school are not allowed poles until they get to fairly advanced stage and can confidently turn parallel. If she wants to ski with poles maybe she should just hold them in front of her with both hands like a bicycle handles - this will also stop her hands from falling down and behind her and make her get a bit further forward and more in control of her skis. She has long time ahead of her to improve and progress but proper stance is the basics and a key to this progress. If she can get it she'll outski you in 2-3 weeks with ease, like all kids typically do when they start young, and you will no longer have to ski green slopes and will have to wait for her while she's doing jumps in the park.

Thank you for such a detailed post, that really makes a lot of sense. I will give serious thought to taking the poles way next time we go skiing, she does tend to drag them behind herself.
you are also correct about her being to far back, her mum does the same, i shout lean forward but i get ignored.

Thanks again, i will take your advice and put it in to practice next time.
