I think it'll be slightly more than the £109 car hire.
I'm such a plum. I just assumed it'd be straight forward to get there from Turin. |

Yup. La Vanoise in Tignes.
I don't mind that long a journey, anything up to 3 hours is bearable. |

Sorry, I'm probably being a bit stupid here, but what's a pass?
I've looked at both routes, and the roads from Chambery, seem very similar to those from Turin. Why would they be shut? Bandit - The route I was looking at was Turino-Avigliana-Susa-Novalesa.... I'm beginning to think this could be a bloody nightmare. And I didn't take out insurance on changing tickets... doh! |

Thanks for the replies. I'd already booked the flights so can't change them, just wanted to know if anyone has driven the route.
Oh well, it's a change of scenery even if it's a bit further. |

Had a look a google maps and it is a bit further. However flying to Turin was £100 cheaper…

Anyone driven this?
We flew into, and drove from Chambery last year, but were told Turin was closer. Granted not by much, but apparently it's a quicker and easier drive? |

Not quite the same but I suffer from tendonitis in my Achilles, which flared up about 2 months before my trip last season. I didn't have an problems other than it being a bit sore on the evening of the 3rd day.
As I'm sure the doc has said, plenty of stretches when you are out of plaster and you should be fine. |

Andy - Oh absolutely! It's certainly unusual and well worth a visit or two. I would loved to have spent to evening in there, but the prices are just crazy...
