I wondered how much a taxi would cost? No baggage, just going to pick up the hire car in 2 weeks time on a friday afternoon.

Also I hear there is a bus. The CME shuttle is $52 per person, and two of us are going - 1 for navigator, so at $104 that was a bit steep. :(

My husband and I wear GIRO helmets. They have different shapes depending on your head - try them on because you need the right fit - firm, but not squeezy!
A friend bought the wrong shape when the sales assistant told her she was "between sizes", and it was way too big. She had my husband's shape helmet, tried mine on and it fitted perfectly.

You don't need to wear a hat under because they are quite warm, and if you get hot, there's a vent you can open for "air conditioning"!

I note the person who couldn't hear was not wearing a helmet. The Giros are a shorter helmet, and have some padding over the ear, but you can hear perfectly!

Most brands have different shapes.

Just remember you are negating the reason for wearing a helmet if they don't fit right! -)

Well Silver, the problem every morning will be "what layers do I need in my jacket today?" A look out the window never works! I just use extra thermals if necessary, because if it warms up, you can always tie one around your waist or put it in a pocket. A fleece is too bulky for that.

There's always the open zipper approach too! -)

Thanks everyone!! It's so good to see pictures of the snow when it's stinking hot here in Oz! Gives you something to dream about as you sweat it out in the (un-air conditioned)gym!!

I can't believe I've had 44 hits on this question, but NO answers! Has ANYONE been to the Dolomites, especially the Alta Badia area recently?? Val Gardena, Corvara, San Cassiano, Sells Ronda??

We are heading to La Villa in Feb for 2 weeks. The snow reports haven't looked too good all season, including their own website. It seems to be snowing now, but also raining and sunny! :?:

Has anyone been there recently to tell me snow conditions?
