The other day, in my bank, I had an awful job to prove that I was me - if you see what I mean. One of the routine security questions was date of birth and for some reason they had mine wrong.
So they asked me a security question to which they had the wrong answer! And I've been with that bank for about 25 years, although it's now called something else. And even though the staff in the bank knew it was me (because they've been dealing with me for years) they couldn't accept my answer, although they knew really that I was right and their records were wrong. They wouldn't accept my EHIC card (which I had on me) and the date of birth on that either. So I had to go home and send them a copy of my driver's license.

It amazes me that a bank could make a mistake like that :shock:

Is there any way of opting out of being suggested as a friend to someone on Facebook?

I haven't changed Far Queue's entry yet, because I thought I'd wait until he's actually booked.
And if anyone else wants to go on my list (or be taken off it!) would they please say so including the date and destination of their holiday.

Nelly - if he's still got the receipt couldn't he go back to the boot shop and ask for the boots to be re-fitted as he has a problem with them?

When I went back to the shop with mine last week (although I haven't got a problem with them), they very carefully checked them. I have one foot 2mm longer than the other one - but it doesn't seem to matter when I'm ski-ing.

Mind you - I suppose you could always begin by measuring his feet yourself, and see if they are a different length.

It sounds horrible painful. I remember when my toe-nail went black and fell off after I broke my big toe and that hurt :cry:

So I hope you find a solution to this for him :D
