Unfortunately it is what it is!!! I've always questioned the wisdom of converting back to sterling when buying beer or lift passes  Sometimes it just has to be done
Passo Tonale

Sorry to rain on Tony's parade but its actually Ponte de LEGNO, which apparently means wooden bridge. This place is worth the slide down the valley. Its a small local type resort and the runs are pretty challenging. I skied there in 2006 and I can honestly say I have never seen so many really good skiers in one day.
The downside then was a bus journey back up the valley, but I believe there is a gondola now.
I have to say I didnt find much night life in Tonale itself, but it was toward the end of the season.
Enjoy!!!! :D
So many things to consider - heres another few! It is generally accepted that its not until 5 or 6 that childrens muscles and psyche are developed enough to learn properly.( About the age we start school).
I dont think there is any harm in them pottering around prior to that age, but, as previously stated, they need full time attention and monitoring.
And a helmet is extremely heavy on a toddlers already top heavy body!!!

Thanks again folks - I obviously had a sense of humour failure yesterday!!!! I guess it takes time to adjust to other peoples 'sense of humour' !

Salski - You will love St Gervais. I've skied in Les Contamines which is just up the valley. Both are beautiful villages, and good ski-ing

Caron a - My previous Avatar! - My girlfriend was working in her office one day with no colleagues due to illness, courses etc and decided to make a colleague out of a Scene of Crime suit, coathangers and stuff. She really should have been on Blue Peter!!
(oh, and she calls him George and wheels him out on similar occasions - She's not quite right in the head!!)

Tony - I really dont think we want to debate racial stereotyping in this forum!!!!

Thanks Queen Sheba - Looking forw ard to Les Gets. Will bear your recommendations in mind and report back on my experience.

Are there local buses between Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets should late afternoon drinks interfere with ski-ing back?

PS - See we are neighbours!!!I'm an Edinburgher living in Linlithgow.

Well, thanks for the advice on Les Gets folks.

I was just trying to be friendly. I instruct kids quite a lot and they dont seem to mind being called ski dudes.

I realise now this forum is a bit of a closed shop so I'll say adios.

Question - How can you avoid cliques

Answer - Stick with your friends.
