For my second 2011 trip i was looking at the easter holidays.
Next year easter falls quite late, 24th April. Will this be a problem for snow in most resorts?
Easter 2011....will it be a problem?

You'll be fine but hang fire on booking. I'd bet with it being so late it will be quite quiet.

Hi Snapzz,
That's pretty late. The snow could be pretty ropy by the end of April. You'd need to head really high, Val Thorens & Tignes are 2 places that spring to mind.
Are you tied to school holidays?
I've just had a look at the calendar for state schools in our local authority and they break up Friday 8th April, so you could possibly get away a little earlier.
We went to Puy St Vincent around the 11th April one year and the snow was ok and in Serre Chevalier was still pretty good. You might be lucky, you might not.
We usually go in April, and it's my favoured time, but you never quite know what you'll get.
Sometimes rain, sometimes minus 20, sometimes powder, but usually lots of sun.

Ah...agree with previous message - if you could hang on it would be great as you'd know where was good without fretting for months beforehand.

Go Glacier.
High resorts are great at that time of year I find. Ok, runs to resort may be dodgy but any of the following will afford good sliding.
Saas Fee
Zermatt
Hintertux
Val d'Isere
Tignes
1st week of May is my favorite snoboarding week!!

Scottish schools (although not the private schools) all take the first 2 weeks in April off no matter when Easter lands. Is that different in England?

with my youngest being at a catholic school our holidays always incorporate easter.
however, a couple of miles down the road from me is the essex border and they seem to ignore it.
Having skied in Tignes in the second week of April last year, I could say we had a good week but I wouldn't be tempted to go that late again unless it was the only time I could go.
