It's quite simple, Icy, we're doing chalet practice, in case any of us ever end up in one. I seem to remember you and Snapzzz expressing doubts about sharing a dinner table with people you don't know, in a chalet.

And I've never been in a small chalet. So I reckon we could all do with some practice.

Snapzzz - I rather think that what Icy means is that he does a weekly commute between his 2 homes. My parents used to do that as well.

Oh - Icy left the dinner table - without even waiting for dessert! His work must be very important if he's doing it on a ski holiday.

I have my lovely 4 bedroom detached house

then I own a functional 1 bedroom studio that I use as a base when I am working away. I am selling the studio as my working arrangements are changing mid next month.

At the minute I am in my studio, but at the weekend I am in my lovely detached house

Does that kinda make sense?

Not at all. My expenses for owning 2 homes are catastrophic

The studio has awful insulation so I am heating Skipton!

Has this thread gone a bit wibbly?

Snapzzz,
Having 2 houses doesn't necessarily mean that poor Icy is loaded - it's more likely to mean that he owes an awful lot of money to a certain bank or building society!
