Fly into Innsbruck if you get the chance, otherwise Salzburg is ok, but a little longer transfer (2 hours).
Good ski area, glacier skiing, lots of cannons, great night life, and well known for spring skiing too.

hi was there in 2003 i think at easter which was in april i think. Snow was brillant & slopes were quiet! went with topflight from belfast and stayed in hotel edelwisse which if you phone topflight was alot cheaper then anyway!! bus stop was right outsode the door and the journey was all of about 2 mins! walkin distance although there are hotels on the slopes basically! :D

Hi there,
My husband and I (in early 30's) want to go to Austria skiing next March (15th - 22nd). We have skiied twice before so would be above absolute beginner stage.
We can't decide where to go, we had decided on St Johann but a couple of people at work here with have said there will be no snow Mid March.
We will probably have to fly into Salzburg which is also a consideration and would like a resort with some nightlife
Can anybody advise?
