I'm just back from a 3 week trip to Italy. My wife and I had a week in a hotel in Sauze, found a good deal at Octobers Ski show in Battersea. Followed by a week in an Airbnb in Cervinia and a week in a chalet in the Dolomites. If you want to move resorts then the car is virtually essential plus you can have a stop on the way down, we had a night in Lyon. On the way back we had a stop in Luxembourg. Anothe year we hopped between chalets in La Tania
, Le Plagne and then the Dolomites. You will find great priced chalets in France especially for late bookings and they are far more reliable than an Airbnb.
