Happy birthday Wickers. You just managed to miss having the same one as my little 'un who turns 11 tomorrow.

He did not show his face at 4pm as I predicted :(

He's too busy enjoying his day and wearing his new birthday present.

Must be having a good one :D

I've skied with a number of elderly people (let's say over 70 for sake of argument) over the years most memorably a 72 or 73 year old Canadian!
He was a padre in the Canadian Air Force, still serving/working, based in Germany.
3 pilots were staying in the chalet I was running and they introduced me to this guy.
Amazing!
I was in my mid twenties, skiing the full season, reckoned myself pretty good by then.
He skied the pants off me - completely.
I was humbled and amazed and inspired.
I'll never be as good a skier as him but do aim to ski well into my dotage.
Mind you I found out later that he had been in the Canadian Ski Team 50 years earlier.

I go skiing with my dad every year. This year he turned 70, whilst he is sensible at times we always have a great laugh. We also go hiking in Scotland and arran, age is only a number afterall!

Happy Birthday Ian for yesterday.

You wouldn't catch me going to see a ballet - can't stand the **** things! But I hope you enjoyed yourself.
