Really? When it is good it is better than anywhere I have skied, when it is bad you'll be wishing you didn't bother.
If you are close enough to take a punt on a weekend or a day, go for it but if you aren't prepared to gamble on snow conditions and weather it isn't ideal.

So is it worth the travel up from leeds with a few mates for a weekend???

Same as Pablo, going tomorrow for some more pain or pleasure, not sure which till I get there!

I used to run ski trips from Manchester and Leeds, up to Cairngorm. Travel overnight Friday and Sunday.
As Pablo says, when it's good it's great, but you could be fighting hailstone, and rock-hopping.
