My daughter and I ski - intermediate, both still having lessons. My wife have generously stays at home to look after her elderly relative. When we ski in Seefeld - my daughter ends up having lessons that start on one mountain & I normally the other. Thats ok for me because I can ski down the mountain and find my class.
My wife wants to take her this year and learn to ski (wants to see what we both make the fuss about). I'm concerned that my wife will have to deliver our daughter to ski school on a mountain then head back to the nursery slopes for her lessons - which is less than ideal as they all normally start and finish at the same time.
Can anyone recommend a resort; preferably in Austria where the lessons for all abilties and ages start and finish in the same place.

I can confirm PSC that all levels meet at the same place there, was there in February and my wife and kids were all learning (and for the OP I'll whisper it so no-one else hears, it's Niederau) ...
I decided to have a life change and be more spontaneous. Starting tomorrow.

The ski school meeting point is close to the bottom of the Gondala. The main poit is that you let the instructor know where you want your daughter to be.
Sometimes the intermediates will meet at go up the Gondola for the day. If the instructor knows what is needed, he will ensure that your daughter is delivered to the Gondola base, at the end of the class. If you want to meet up with your daughter at lunhtime, the instructer will escort her back to the Gondola, and you can return her to the Gondola in time for her to return for afternoon classes.
This is the case with the Red ski school. I cannot comment about the blue ski school.
Ski well.

We are based in France(3V) rather than Austria but as a rule the ski schools here start and finish at the same point. There is also a good selection of British run schools tayloring lessons to British clients - they are not cheap but worth considering if you want to ensure your wife enjoys the experience.

Val Thorens in France. Me and my bf had lessons with Prosnaige last year. We were both in different groups and with single meeting point. Very recommended.

Obergurgl has a single meeting point (or certainly used to before the new lift round that area). Hochgurgl may have a seperate meeting point but I'm not sure, I don't remember a ski school operating from there. I'll warn you that the instructors English may not be great, although you'll find that in a lot of Austrian resorts.
Snow sure and a great resort for couples and families, if you want decent nightlife after dinner you'll need to taxi to Soelden though.
