Thanks very much Eggman,
You're not worried about me pushing you off a chairlift and smashing your head up against a wooden wall then :?:

Seriously though, I might well be looking for some ski-ing companions for the 11/12 ski-ing year. I will let you know next year :D

That's another thing to remember - if I decide to go to Megeve, I should go to St Gervais instead (and get the Mont-Blanc Skipass?) :D :D

Ally let us know if/ when you are going to St.G next year maybe Salski will be there as well. I can see another J2ski meet taking place )

I'll get a wide-angle lens for the group photo!

Salski,
Have you got any good chalets in mind? If I'm on my own, I can hardly go self-catering, so it would have to be a chalet or a hotel, and I think I'd prefer a chalet.

I checked on snowcarbon.co.uk and I can get there okay by train. It also says that Megeve is the best resort in France for mountain restaurants.

Which month do you think would be the best one to go? The first week in January after the kids go back to school generally seems to be the cheapest, but I don't know if there'd be enough snow then?

Ally, the weather was a bit poor over the New year early Jan, it was a bit wet when we skied with Salski. But the Mt Blanc Evasion pass covers Les contamines which is a little but higher. We will just have to work out how to get you there. )

Hi Eggman,
Well, I suppose I can always go on my bicycle, as long as no-one tries to make me wear a bike helmet

My Dad used to bike to France on holiday, although of course he wasn't travelling with a load of ski gear

I'm sure we can work something out. Or, we can go later in the season, when there's more likely to be plenty of snow.

Ally, it was great over Christmas. Eggman brought the rain with him when he came for New Year! :( We've self-catered both times we've been to St.G so I can't help with hotels or chalets I'm afraid. We normally ski 3rd week in January & have always had great conditions. We're now tied to school holidays so risked early season this year & got away with it - just (apart from the Eggski day).

I now pay a Sun tax every time I ski, it seems to work. P.S. is this the Princess Red at St. G that you're looking very stylish on? :)
