Is this leading to the dangers of skiing without hearing?
To prevent this arguement, I believe it's ok for someone to ski whilst listening to music so long as they are even more aware of what's going on around them.
Ideally, you can listen to music as loud as you please and totally zone into the music if you've isolated yourself somewhere, be it off-piste or so :)
