Smsh,
I don't really know, but my daughter got her D2B ski trousers in a surf shop a few years ago. I would say small sports shops and possibly even general clothing shops and very large general stores. I think the specialist large sports shops might be full of the more expensive makes like North Face and Helly Hansen. You can pay £400 for a pay of ski trousers if you like, in one of these shops

As others have said, they also sell cheap ski stuff in Lidl and Aldi and TKMax, but you just have to be lucky and buy when you see it, because you never know what they're going to stock next.

I'd suggest if you are going to buy D2B skiwear and pay ITRO £90 for a jacket, you might as well pay a little more and invest in something mid range like North Face, as not only are they better made and higher quality, but they look a lot better too.
Blacks currently have some good deals on some North Face stuff.
I paid £75 for North Face sallopettes from the USA, retail over here was £150 for the same pair so thats half price, and the fit, comfort and style are top drawer.
I also paid £30 for a brand new pair of ladies North Face sallopettes off of that Ebay  because the daft woman who bought them got the wrong size and couldnt get a refund as she left them too long, so wanted to get rid of them. £130 retail new.
You really do need to spend some time on the net and you will come across some really good deals.
Buying new stuff like D2B from a shop to me is like going out and buying a new Ford Fiesta, you just wouldn't.

TK Maxx buys in big bundles of remaindered (ie they did not sell) clothes. So delivery is lumpy - feast one minute, famine the next. But it;s now online too so all that checking if they'd had stuff delivered is a bit of the thing of the past - even tho you will find one or two things in branches that are not on the web.

Re base layers - 90% are made from polyester as it gets moisture away from the body ('wicking'), and dries quickly. Merino is the answer, but is quite expensive - that said, Decathlon now stocks merino base layers. It's a good investment as they don't wear out for the average skier; I've had the same HH merino base layers for four years - four years x 2/3 ski trips a year = just a few weeks of wear per item, less than your normal smalls I bet!

Re 'is D2B a good brand' etc - probably as good as they need to be. Dunno about skiwear, but I feel it;s highly likely the same factory in Taiwan or PRC make skiwear for lots of brands... bear in mind that some Armani suits are made in the same place as M&S suits.

I think the answer is end-of-season sales - get what you want at half price. My Eider Specialist jacket was such a purchase, and my Fischer Soma Progressor boots. Prior to that I was wearing a North Face waterproff jacket with a zip-out fleece - which was fine, even if TNF zips are a bit hinky.
Yeah, I knew that.

I think what Sm4sh wanted to do, was to go to a shop that sold D2B stuff, check their sizes, and then buy it on the internet in their current up to 60& off sale, so that he wouldn't get caught out like I did with buying D2B trousers too small.

I bought my Animal ski trousers in a sale (in a 'proper' shop), half price, and I really like them (I just wish I hadn't been so gluttonous lately).

Trencher,
I am off to TK Maxx today to see what they've got, and then I'm going to see if I can buy myself a ski helmet.

Dunno, the new ones get rave reviews. And look quite dashing. Maybe a new Kia? Or Proton?

They're probably ok for the Mrs to go shopping, or the lad to trev about in Tesco's car park, but I still wouldn't.
