How many are there anyway - about 40? And we must have named quite a few of them already, between us all.

Skiing in France takes place in two parts of the country: the Alps and the 5 times smaller Pyrenees. Although as many as 400 fully equipped mountain resorts are situated in the Alps range, they only cover 6% of its total area, so that the mountains have not lost any part of their natural beauty. Due to location at the height of up to 3300 meters above sea level, French resorts are busy for a very long part of the year. The skiing season in these starts in late autumn and ends in the first days of May.

No, I mean 40 in the French Alps, not counting the Italian or Swiss Alps

Thanks Tino,
but I'd have thought she was in one of the main ones, rather than a titchy little village with about 5 pistes. Surely all 400 resorts can't be big ones?

Anyway, there's supposed to be thousands of j2skiers. We just need to get organised, and pick a few each. One of us will be right.
