Yep, a week tomorrow and I will be flying out from Heathrow to join Stewart. Hopefully he turns up with all our gear in his car!
The col du lautaret has been closed several times this week such a the snowfall, and forecast is for kore snow next week with temps dropping much lower. Fingers crossed it stays cold and there's some fresh for us to ski in a weeks time.

Skiied this morning, 2hrs uphill. Cable car down for 10:15. Hip flexors were in serious pain in end. Still cannot complain, week of this has to help recovery.

15 sleeps till Zell am See! Getting excited and anxious as haven't skied for 6 years or more and even then I had only skied three times in my life... 4 days in Utah, 5 in Mirabel and 4 days somewhere in France and I wasn't that good either although I could do parallel skiing and felt quite chuffed I could do that. Feel like I need to start right at the beginning just doing snow plows but my 'pushy' Husband says no, you don't need to be doing snow plows, but I don't think he understands just how scared I am. He's been skiing for years. I do think though that after half an hour or so I'll get the hang of it again... I hope!!! Men... they just don't understand sometimes do they! :-)
