PrivateBryan and anyone else heading to Chamonix will be pleased to know fantastic conditions at moment. The "warm" weather that people seem so worried about did not really materialize here, and certainly no damage to pack. Nights have been cold -6 degC in town (1000m)in mornings and only getting up to 5-6degC so slopes have still been below freezing.

As I type snow is starting to fall, local reports are predicting up to 17cm in next 24hrs and further snow on Sunday.

Great start to season, looking forward to 3 weeks skiing in April.

Good to know for everyone tbh. The reports I've seen suggest very warm daytime temps but sub zero overnight, so I've been hopeful that the base has remained pretty much unaffected.

Lets hope we get a long period of cold temps now across Europe

Thanks Ranchero. That's encouraging.
Group of 4 blokes heading to stay at Les Lanchers.
Driving down from UK.
Wanted somewhere with a good social life as France can be a bit dead in the evenings to say the least!
Believe it's about a 20 min walk to Cham centre from the hotel, which is in Le Praz, but close to lifts.
Booked last night on Trip Advisor.

Have skied all of the Cham local ski areas previously and liked La Flegere and Brevant a lot.

Started snowing yesterday in La Clusaz and continues today, I have turned the snow off for tomorrow as I will be driving to resort from Geneva, and have managed to turn it all back on from Sunday and what looks like the rest of week, so the week ahead poor visability but plenty of powder !!!!!
Ps .... 1 Sleep
