How heavy do those rail systems make the skis? I was stunned at the weight of the Tyrolia Railflex...and so was everyone who offered to pick up my skis

Typical comment... $#%*! how do you manage?

By the end of a ski day I would usually have tired legs.

It's so nice to be back on flat bindings with light skis 8)

Don't think I have been on enough pairs of skis to comment. I have LPs (which weight a ton) and they are such a smooth ride but I noticed the legs getting a little tired by the end of the day. The Nordicas I could ski all day every day and the Vists beat me up after a half day of hard skiing. Think at my young age it is more about ski characteristics than total weight. Also, they all require different technique so it is difficult for me to make a comparison.

The Tyrolia Railflex were on my Monsters', which is a shame, as they are a superb, versatile ski. To ski them off piste was hard work because the Railflex made them so heavy, talk about ground anchors!!

On piste they were fine, so I reckon they would be good for lift served piste skiing.
Waste of a good ski as the ski performed so well off piste!

I would buy another pair of Monsters, as a flat ski.
