Ian I'm hoping that Courchevel 1550 won't cost any more than Val Thorens, as long as we only eat in our apartment and don't go bowling or anything, and only do window shopping.

The apartment is cheap enough, the ski lessons are a bit more expensive, and of course the 3 valley pass is exactly the same as in VT.

Back to work now - cleaning the floor tiles with acid cleaner - less than 2 weeks to go now before the holidaymakers arrive in our newly prepared holiday cottage and masses of work still to do.

If you went somewhere "cheaper" than you wouldn't be tied to the stove on holiday and you could experience the on piste delicacies of burger and chips or Spag bol

Niederau 2 days Dec 08
Auffach 1 day Dec 08
Mayrhofen 1 day Dec 08

St Anton 6 days Jan 09

Serre Chevalier 6 days March 09

I consider myself lucky to have had 3 trips again this season, but I also kind of feel slightly disappointed that I didnt get any more in as the snow has been so good this season.

The list for forthcoming trips grows ever longer, and I already have 6 days confirmed to Alpe d'Huez Jan 10, and will possibly be taking another 6 days in Schladming Feb 10. If I get a 3rd trip in, it will be last minute so no particular plans regarding where to be honest.

Absoultely loved it. Cant wait for AdH on Jan 10. Will get two holidays in next year but 2nd trip will be a late deal somewhere (probably over the rainbow).

38 days, all in Niederau. Wasn't entirely planned that way, but I was very happy, given the lovely conditions this winter. Not sure it suited my OH, (to have two weeks in N.), since she does like to go to a new place each year. Given the broken leg recovery, it was probably the right thing for her.

A big bonus was meeting with so many J2skiers. Fourteen, at my last count, and two near misses, missed out skigirl and paralytic.

I would add that under the remit of "Season Overview", we might add our grateful thanks to Admin Dave, who keeps us all in order, in a skilful, humourous and kindly manner. Thank you Admin.

Rest of season - wishing I was somewhere with snow :D

Next year thinking about Canada or the US for a fortnight and maybe a week somewhere in Europe, but depends on finances (or current lack there of...) :(
