J2 Skiers Go to Zermatt - Winter 2010/11

Nelly PS, Skidaddle and Tony H call me Yam Yam because I am a Brummie they think it is the same.
But as you know it is not.

I am sure that you will confirm that being a bluenose is no Yam Yam.

Assuming that the 'under 28' rule is waived and I can convince OH that it's a good idea to go on a ski trip with a bunch of people we've never met before, then Zermatt in January 2011 sounds like a great plan. :thumbup: It would be great to finally meet everyone and put names to faces. :D Both the chalets look good, though I think I prefer the slightly more expensive one given a choice (Chalet Genepy). We'd also be fine with a hotel if that suited people better and would happily go with any of the other resorts mentioned if that was the consensus.

Dates wise, with this much notice we can do anytime throughout the season. Flights, ideally from Newcastle but Leeds Bradford, Sheffield or Manchester are easily do-able. Are the flights included in the price from London or is there the option to specify (within reason) when you book?

So it seems like Skidaddle and I have a plan then. Gonna put my feet up for the next 9 months whilst the rest of you get a chalet and flights from various airports nailed down :twisted:

A few other questions spring to mind....

Do we have a count of interested parties yet?
Am I the only snowboarder?
How many attractive single ladies are going?
Can we get a group deal on lift passes?
Can those who need get a group deal on hire?
Will there by enough snow?
And has anyone seen my G&T?

The thing is Tino....do you want a touch of exclusivity...being the sole hillfrog and all :P

Not everyone will want to go into a chalet, or get flights and transfers, or in fact spend a whole week there )

I think some folks will hold back to see what date gets agreed on before making their declaration.

Unfortuately I won't be able to join in the fun on two counts;

1 No Jocks welcomed!
2 Can't do 2nd week in Jan........1st, 3rd or any other week or month would be definate.

I will watch with anticipation to see what is agreed going forward...
