Hi Cheapskate, welcome to J2ski, you may have chosen a name that ought to belong to many of us on J2!
For people to offer possible solutions, it would be helpful to know where you would be travelling from, ie nearest airport(s)
In my first year or so, I would hitch 100 miles to the Lake District, and walk up Cross Fell, carrying skis. That was cheap! I had little in the way of options!

Hi Dave Mac,
I am in Ireland, so Dublin, Cork, or Shannon. Dublin is the best I suppose. And thanks for your reply. 3 or 4 days ski break would be the finest!

Cheapskate

Is the 3/4 days your perception that it would be cheaper than a week? This may not be the case. 3/4 days tends to mean d-i-y, whereas you may be able to get a good one week deal.
Re diy, Easyjet is no use for you, but Ryanair go to Salzburg.

Thanks Wasley,
Was that a DIY package or through a company? That sounds a good deal alright. What month was it?

I had a squint at the DIY from Dublin, that Ryanair flight was around 260 Euros, and that is before Ryanair start their cost-doubling! There are a good few Irish ladies go to Niederau, so there must be reasonable TO deals. Skigirl and Mamabien may be along soon, might have to wait until the pubs shut though......

Hey Cheapskate
Im in the same both, looking for a cheap weekend somewhere. If there are a few of you, there may vary well be. You can fly at the moment with rynair to millian for 59 euro return and hire a car for around 15 euro a day, also using the features of this great site you will find how many ski resorts are near the airport your arriving and how long. They are not the greatest resorts but they would do for a day or two i suppose, im still investigating the resorts near milian. But some early dec skiing is definely in my cards.

type in google search, ski resorts near milian bergamo and you will get j2ski site adress

hope this helps
