A quick update for anyone who is still around at this time of year. I had interview on Wednesday this week for another childcare manager position and got the job. It is better pay and conditions than the other job that I got and I will be based in Morzine. A little excited is what I am!

Hurrah! Nice one... sounds like you're sorted then.

Is this one for definite or do you have more irons?

No this is it now, it's the job I wanted most! I have a couple more interviews but I will not be attending them.

This job is not a TO so it's good wages (for a ski resort) and more time off, plus the company directors are cool.

I won't be working with the children Ian, I will be coordinating the nannies, and monitoring their performance, I will also spend a lot of time each day skiing to the different villages to speak to parents about their requirements and customer satisfaction.

Unlike school there'll be hardly any paper work, no OfSTED, no targets and assessment, no planning, and lots of mountains!

I won't be on a budget, I will have more disposable income than I have had for the last twenty years...Don't you remember, I will no longer have a mortgage and I will also have rent coming in from my property in England as well as my resort wages.

Happy days! I'll even shout you a beer when you pop over from Morillon

Congrats Snowbandit, I would say I'm jealous, but keeping with the Alpine Migration theme, I signed a contract for a managerial position in a pharma company in Visp last week :)

30km from Zermatt and 25km from Saas Fee, both of which I am currently looking for property in :)

Happy days!!
