Thought I was being sensible wearing boots with a wedge heel in the ice (have done so on holiday before) but now wish I had worn flatties with crampons!!
Fed up with being on crutches and everything taking so long to do but then I think about the people for whom this is a permanent state like a boy I teach who lost his leg to cancer.
Take care out there fellow Jet 2 Skiers )

I would think you have a fairly good chance of ski-ing on it by the middle of Feb, just going by the general rule that it takes about 6 weeks for a break to heal, as long as there aren't any complications.

The usual plaster cast imobilisation seems to be around 6 weeks, but I guess this rather depends on the nature and extent of the injury. Then you are likely to need some weeks of physio.
My OH was skiing after about three and a half weeks after the cast was removed, albeit, she put up with a deal of pain. (Soon sorted with appropriate administrations of gluwein!)
However, all injuies, and repairs are different. It is more important to get the injury fixed properly.
Good Luck!

Working on ladders was a bit painful, but otherwise I don't remember it being too bad. Maybe it was just being young, and as Dave says, everyone and their injuries are different.
The two toes, I broke at the same time caused the most pain. I think the Docs made me suffer while resetting them, because they didn't like motorcycle accidents.

I quite agree, afterall, a tightly done up ski boot has to be as good as a cast
PS sorry to hear the news, I hope it gets better fully and swiftly.
