Hey guys, been looking to book up for a skiing trip recently, looking to go 23rd - 30th of this month - DIY to Meribel, Brides Les Bains.
Flying to Grenoble
Anybody been here before? How did you get a transfer?
Had a look online, but can only seem to find private transfers and they're around €135 per person..
Any help is much appreciated.
Transfers...?

I understand there's a bus service from Grenoble to Meribel via Moutiers. Check out this link http://www.meribel-unplugged.co.uk/Grenoble_airport_meribel_bus_service.htm I haven't done the journey myself.

Stayed in Brides les Bain, it is about 200 metres below sea level. The gondola was built so that BLB could accomodate journalists. So you have a 30 min journey just to reach the Meribel area. Then you have the ongoing lift system. I understand that most of the time you have to go down on the BLB gondola.
We were with a TO, but I would suggest that you consider looking on the TO sites to see if you can do a "transfer only" deal. Some of them do this. 3V transfers are costly, but I would be targetting £80 return.

Ok guys, update on the ski holiday!
We've scrapped the idea of DIY, simple straight-through transfers from Grenoble to BLB wasn't happening so this is what we've done..
Booked through Crystal a self catering package to Meribel, Mottaret. 23rd to 30th Jan 2010.
3 Vally lift pass
Yada yada.. all the bits and pieces
£487 for flights, transfers, accommodation, 6 day ski pass and ski carriage.
The people coming who aren't taking their own skis etc.. it's an extra £50 ontop of the £487.
Aint bad if you ask me :D
So now it's official - BOOKED :D
