I am lucky enough to be about to head out to Bormio for the season-will be going there from Dec to April!
Got job working for a race company teaching the kids maths in the afternoons!
Has anyone been to Bomrio or Livigno for that matter as its clsoe by and got any info about it?
I keep reading "windy valley" and "off piste is illegal" which isnt promising.....

Also want to get a big Self catered or Catered chalet for mates in April in Livgno but cant find ANYTHING really anywhere-trying to get them to come to me so I dont have to pay for a lift pass elsewhere!
Plus Livigno looks pretty sweet-any opinions?

Rossy you will not find too many catered chalets in Livigno and why would you want a catered chalet when you have restaurants like Bellavista which are extremely good and cheap hence no catered chalet market, but I did come across a couple who organise holidays local in livigno I will try and dig out their web site hold fire....be back soon 8)

Going to stick with this posting as to not confuse!!

For the chalets personally we want a large 15 person self catered one but I have half a dozen other friends who want to be catered because their first holiday last year in la plagne was catered and thats what the now feel they need!

Will look into that website later, cheers.

I love the look of the bormio piste map-lots of trees to ski through, cant wait!

What is the chat with the off piste? I heard Livigno has decent options but not bormio?

There is plenty in Livigno not too sure about Bormio but the Stelvio piste is worth a go but it possible closed until the Bormio world cup downhill on the the 27th December, trust me you don't go catered in Italy talk them out of it there are restaurants in Livigno to cater for all tastes, I don't want to be patronising to eat out in Italy is half the price of France, talk them out of it and they will not regret it,
trust me I know Livigno and its food, blimey I'm hungry. 8)

Rossyhead,
That's great. You can be 'Our man in Bormio' (Graham Greene) for the season. I didn't know you were a wizard at maths .
